تحتوى الدورة على عدة موضوعات نظرية وعملية تمكن الدارس من التعرف على ماهية الحاسب الآلي وأنواعه ومكوناته الأساسية ، كما يتعرف الدارس على انظمة  التشغيل المختلفة المستخدمة في الحاسبات الشخصية وكيفية التعامل مع الملفات , كما يتعرف الدارس على البرامج الملحقة ، وكذلك التعرف على برامج معالجات الكلمات (مهارات الطباعة) وسبل الاستفادة منها في اعداد الخطابات  وبرنامج الجداول الالكترونية في (اعداد النتائج والحسابات والفواتير) والانترنت وكيفية انشاء البريد الإلكتروني والتراسل عبر البريد الإلكتروني وتصفح الموقع المختلفة وكيفية البحث من خلال شبكة الانترنت وسبل الاستفادة من مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي
